This is the packing list for a week at Camp Yawgoog.

• Medication:  Should be clearly marked with Scout’s name, medication name, dosage & given to Scoutmaster or designated adult at drop-off.

• Footlocker or heavy plastic bin (with wheels)

• Full Class A Uniform AND Clothes Hanger

  • Class A shirt with green epaulets and all patches (Scouts must have current rank on their shirt)

  • Red Beret

  • 66 Neckerchief and Slide

  • Green Scout Shorts

  • Scout Belt

  • Green Scout Socks

• Bedding Items:

  • Sleeping bag OR blankets (Top sheet)

  • Pillow

• Clothing:

  • Class B Uniform T-Shirts (As many as possible for the week.)

  • Socks (More than you think are needed)

  • Underwear (Daily change of underwear)

  • Extra shorts, pants, and shirts

  • Pajamas (At least 2 sets)

  • Poncho or raincoat

  • Sweatshirt or jacket

• Water Items:
  • Bathing suit(s)
  • Beach towel
  • Swim googles (Optional)
  • Ear Dry (Optional)

• Footwear:

  • Comfortable walking shoes (closed-toed)

  • Rain boots or second pair of shoes (closed-toed)

• Toiletries & Bath Items:

  • Toothbrush

  • Toothpaste

  • Bath towel and washcloth

  • Soap and shampoo

  • Deodorant

  • Shower shoes

• Scout Gear:

  • Small backpack (with straps, NOT the drawstring-type bags)

  • Scout handbook

  • Pen, pencil, notebook

  • Merit Badge prerequisite requirements

  • Water bottle

  • Sunscreen

  • Hat

  • Insect repellent

  • Headlamp (with extra batteries)

  • Fishing gear (optional)

  • Pocket Knife

  • Whittling Chip OR Totin' Chip (If scout has earned those previously)

  • Camp chair

  • Playing cards / games

  • Spending money ($30 - $40 in small denominations)

  • Costume / decorations for Week 6 Theme

  • Scout Spirit!

• Items to leave at home:

  • Electronic Devices – Cell Phones, Headphones, Game Systems, etc

  • Candy, gum or sugary snacks.

  • Cans or bottles of Soda/Gatorade/Ice Tea/etc./
